As a charity that found its roots within the community, GMFA thrived within London's queer social scene in the 1990s and early 2000s.  As the organisation grew, events evolved, from attending London Pride atop an iconic pink tank to organising legendary yearly Sports Day events alongside the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
